 Local School Education

As members of the Australian Veterinary Association we are proud to sponsor PetPEP, a program designed to assist primary school teachers with helping their students learn about responsible pet ownership.

Pet PEP is an education program developed by the Australian Veterinary Association. It involves veterinarians and teachers working together to teach primary school students about responsible pet ownership and to enhance their overall understanding of animals.

We have visited several local primary schools and we usually take along Dr Tims Labradour Basil to make the whole experience more fun.

If you are a teacher in our area interested in participating in PetPEP, please contact Nurse Lynda Galloway. More information on PetPEP can be obtain from the AVA Web site.

WE SUPPORT THE NATIONAL DESEXING NETWORK

Hundreds of healthy cats and dogs are put to sleep every day due to the overpopulation problem. You can help save lives by having your animal desexed

Here at the clinic we are now a registered PennHIP Vet Clinic.

PennHIP also is a worldwide network of qualified veterinarians working together in an effort to better understand the cause, prediction, prevention and genetic basis of canine hip dysplasia.

PennHIP is a not-for-profit program wholly owned and operated by the University of Pennsylvania. Our mission is to develop and apply evidence-based technology to direct appropriate breeding strategies aimed at reducing in frequency and severity the osteoarthritis of canine hip dysplasia.

PennHIP incorporates a new method for evaluating the integrity of the canine hip. It is accurate in puppies as young as 16 weeks of age. It has great potential to lower the frequency of Canine Hip Dysplasia when used as a selection criterion.

Please call the clinic if you are interested in having your dog PennHIP tested for hip dysplasia on 41515044.
